French curriculum maps and scope and sequence documents (new 2010)


New French 2010 maps and scope and sequence documents. These are the official documents for all French teachers in the district. This is the required curriculum. As always this is a living document. Any changes will only be done by a team of district French teachers.

  1. Curriculum maps are a snapshot of the course. Each map includes the Colorado Standards Prepared Graduate Competences at the top of the map. The map also includes the target proficiency level for the standards in the first two columns on the left.
  2. The scope and sequence documents detail each thematic unit. Notice that the themes guide the instruction and not the text. See how the text is listed under resources along with other ideas. The text is one of the resources. The scope follows the Understanding by Design framework (backward design) with enduring understanding and guiding questions, etc. It includes more details about context, structure, and culture as well as assessment possibilities, which at the moment is general.
